Co-founder and CEO of Bridging Nations Foundation
Dr Prakash Ambegaonkar is the founder of the Bridging Nations Foundation as a nonprofit policy and advocacy organization in Washington, D.C. The Bridging Nations Foundation works on issues of leadership, technology, and building education to employment bridges and the India-China -US relations.
Drp’s nonprofit work follows my highly successful entrepreneurial career, which included the formation of three high-tech companies (Frontier Technologies, E-LockTechnologies and Careersunbound inc).
In all, Drp’s companies have won over 30 industry awards, including LAN Magazine’s Product of the Year three times running. Dr Prakash Ambegaonkar was also named Inc. Magazine’s Regional Entrepreneur of the Year in 1995.
Bridging Nations is privately funded by Drp and his wife Nunda.
Dr Prakash have been active for many years in philanthropic, civic, and political affairs. Together with his wife, Drp has contributed to numerous causes including the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Asia Society, The Orphan Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, The Smithsonian, The National Museum of Women and the Arts, Georgetown University, George Mason University, The George Washington University, and the World Affairs Council of DC.
Drp established the first online graduate College of Energy, Environment and Sustainability which offers certificate programs in these areas.
Drp’s new focus at Bridging Nations is to create Education 2 Employment bridges. We plan to start new college in the cyber security area.
Dr Prakash is also an investor in CareersUnbound.com, a new high technology start-up company developing 3D Scalable cloud platform integrated instaCareers, instaSkills and instaTalent.
